MasterMedEx – UAE Free Zone Legal Framework Addendum

1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction (UAE-Aligned)

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with:

  • The laws of the United Arab Emirates
  • Applicable Free Zone regulations where MasterMedEx is registered
  • UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL)
  • UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyright and Neighboring Rights
  • UAE Cybercrime Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021)

Any dispute arising from the use of this platform shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the relevant Emirate and/or the Free Zone authority where the company is registered.

2. Digital Educational Services Clarification

MasterMedEx operates as a digital academic supportive service provider registered within a UAE Free Zone. The platform:

  • Provides academic and examination preparation materials only
  • Does not provide regulated medical services
  • Does not provide telemedicine or clinical consultation
  • Does not operate as a healthcare provider

Users acknowledge that MasterMedEx is an educational technology platform and not a medical authority.

3. Limitation of Liability (UAE Strengthened Clause)

To the fullest extent permitted under UAE law, MasterMedEx shall not be liable for:

  • Examination outcomes
  • Professional licensing decisions
  • Clinical errors
  • Patient-related consequences
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Financial losses arising from reliance on platform content

Liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid by the user for the specific service.

4. Intellectual Property Protection (UAE Copyright Law)

All content is protected under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyright and international intellectual property conventions applicable in the UAE. Unauthorized copying, distribution, reproduction, or resale may result in: Immediate account termination, Civil claims for damages, Criminal liability under UAE law.

Any attempt to hack, scrape content, share credentials, or distribute copyrighted material may constitute a violation of the UAE Cybercrime Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021). MasterMedEx reserves the right to report serious violations to relevant UAE authorities.

MasterMedEx is a UAE Free Zone–registered educational platform. All content is protected under UAE copyright law. Use of this platform is subject to UAE federal laws and applicable Free Zone regulations. The user acknowledges that MasterMedEx provides educational technology services only and does not engage in regulated medical practice within the UAE or internationally.

MasterMedEx is registered in: Sharjah Research Technology & Innovation Park (SRTIP), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

These Terms are governed by:

  • Laws of the United Arab Emirates
  • Applicable SRTIP Free Zone Regulations
  • UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL)
  • UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 (Copyright Law)
  • UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 (Cybercrime Law)
  • UAE Federal Law No. 1 of 2006 (Electronic Transactions Law)

Any dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sharjah or as determined by SRTIP regulations.

Nature of Service

MasterMedEx provides: Digital supportive academic services, Examination preparation resources, Academic revision materials.

MasterMedEx does NOT: Provide medical diagnosis, Provide telemedicine services, Offer regulated healthcare services, Replace clinical supervision, Operate as an official education body. The platform operates under SRTIP regulations.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under UAE law:

  • MasterMedEx shall not be liable for exam outcomes
  • MasterMedEx shall not be liable for clinical decisions or patient outcomes
  • MasterMedEx shall not be liable for professional licensing consequences or certificates
  • Liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by the user

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages are excluded.

Termination & Enforcement

MasterMedEx reserves the right to: Suspend accounts, Terminate access, Report severe violations to UAE authorities. Particularly in cases involving: Copyright infringement, Content piracy, Cybersecurity violations.

2. UAE PDPL-Compliant Data Protection Notice

In accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, MasterMedEx:

Lawful Basis for Processing — Personal data is processed under: User consent, Contractual necessity, Legitimate business interest, Legal compliance.

Instructor Status — Instructors are independent contractors and not employees of MasterMedEx. They: Do not represent MasterMedEx as a medical authority, Deliver examination supportive content only, Must not provide patient-specific advice.

Intellectual Property — All teaching materials created for MasterMedEx: Become licensed to MasterMedEx, May not be reused commercially without written consent, Cannot be independently resold.

Confidentiality Clause — Instructors must maintain confidentiality of: Student data, Platform materials, Internal content.

4. Arbitration Clause

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be resolved through amicable negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration in Sharjah in accordance with applicable UAE arbitration laws.

5. Anti-Piracy & Enforcement Policy

All content is protected under UAE Federal Copyright Law and international IP conventions. Unauthorized: Screenshot sharing, Telegram redistribution, Question bank copying, Recording of live sessions — May result in: Account termination, Civil financial claims, Criminal complaint under UAE Cybercrime Law.
